My poles keep slipping when I have my rubber paws on - how do I keep from slipping?
It’s almost inevitable that you will experience some slippage when walking on asphalt, especially the smooth, non-grained kind, since standard rubber paws don’t cope very well with it. You have a couple of options:
try another type of paw – Leki Silent Spikes work particularly well. So do Gabel Orange Roadsters, although they won’t give the same forward propulsion as silent Spikes.
Walk without paws. It’s noisy and your tips will wear out faster, but you won’t slip half as much.
